- A complete equality profile of the Board, and staff or key volunteers to be conducted
against four categories (gender, disability, ethnicity and age).
- Equality profile for participants/members (those who participate under the auspices of
the NGB or CSP), coaches, officials and elite performers against the four categories (gender,
disability, ethnicity and age). At least statistically significant ‘sampling’ and results
are needed for the profiling of these groups.

and sexual orientation
- An equality profile for participants, coaches, officials and elite performers in terms of
sexual orientation (over 16’s) and religion or belief.

policy/policies.
* Where an organisation does not have such policies then an indication
of its understanding of the relevant equality, equity and diversity considerations should
be ascertained

Website should be accessible to all (or plans should be in place to address this) and be
working towards (or have achieved) compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act
requirements. Information on the site should also be non-sexist, non-disability and
non-racist. Where necessary, selected web pages can and should also be translated.

Analyse the findings in terms of trends and equality impact. Present the information in a
format that enables the information to be easily used in the development of an equality
action plan (see preliminary level) |

The information gleaned from the equality profiling and audits to be considered and
analysed with a consideration to:
- Comparing the audit data with any relevant information available. This might include
the Active People Survey, national surveys of sports participation in the home countries,
Census data or other national surveys carried out in recent years
- Identifying gaps in representation by equity groups. Acknowledge here if data are not
statistically significant and commit to gathering essential data
- Identifying where policies could be enhanced and improved
- Making recommendations for action to address the issues raised
- The results of the analysis should be communicated to Board, staff or members as relevant.
