click here to return to the Vaga homepage

VAGA has been commissed to faciltate the production of a Strategic Framework for the Energize SWT Partnership and a Business Plan for its Core Team. This web page provides a one stop shop for those wishing to be involved in its development and to track the progress being made.

Welcome

Never before have so many people, been so inspired by the outstanding individual and team performances at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing. The focus is now on us! We have a once in a life time opportunity to build a sustainable legacy for future generations in the lead up to London 2012. With unprecedented levels of obesity the need to get more people, more active, more often has never been greater.

This Draft Strategic Framework for Sport and Physical Activity in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin sets out a clear direction for the work of our Partnership. The proposals have been influenced by the views of our partners and by considerable research. In turn we hope the Framework will influence the work of our partners and make it easier for us all to pull together and put in an inspiring team performance to benefit the many different communities within our area.

Please do not ignore this opportunity. Please do get involved and give us your views.

Steve Welti
Chair, Energize STW
