project related pictures
On Friday 2 February 2007 over 30 participants embarked on a year long leadership journey for sports personnel across the West Midlands. The journey will involve:
  • Personal development
  • Team building
  • Strategic task related projects.
The overall aim of the programme is to establish excellent partnership working around shared objectives, and thus significantly increase the delivery capacity of TEAM WEST MIDLANDS and help it to develop into a strong high performing team, with a high level of inter-personal and collective trust and strong personal relationships.

Phase 1 of the journey involves individual 360 and an experiential Leadership Trust residential event. Phase 2 will be designed and delivered by John Smith Consulting with support from Vaga Associates and will be customised to the needs of the participants.

This web site is designed for the participants.

picture of Rauf Mirza, Chair of West Midlands Regional Sports Board We need inspirational leaders across to Region to achieve our goals of: getting more people, more active, more often and nurturing talent. That is why this programme is vital to our success. My thanks go to everyone of the participants involved in this journey who are all making a major personal commitment. I urge them to make the most out of this opportunity, be the best they can be and help inspire others to raise aspirations and achieve personal and collective ambitions. You have my commitment to help. Enjoy the experiences ahead.

Rauf Mirza, Chair of West Midlands Regional Sports Board
